Michael Zell, born 1950, has spent the majority of his professional career at Handelsbanken, where he served as Executive Vice President of the bank and CEO of several of its subsidiaries. As Head of the Greater Stockholm and Western Sweden regional banks, his responsibilities included managing the bank’s relations with the then Kabi Vitrum, Astra, Pharmacia, and Hässle. Following his retirement, he was appointed by the government as Chairman of the Board of Svenska Skeppshypotek. Michael Zell has previously been a board member of the First North-listed biotech company Dicot Pharma. Michael Zell holds a Master of Science in Business and Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics and an AMP degree from Harvard Business School.
